Penicuik Estate

We are always telling each other "We should be walking more! " but it took sister +N2+Abbie dog to actually get us out on a superb, long walk around Penicuik Estate on an absolutely glorious day.

Through the trees you can see the great house itself, currently a Lottery-funded restoration project , and the spire of the Stables which has for many many years been the home of the Clerk family. At the bottom of the hill is the Curling Pond and Carnethy Hill and Castlelaw are in the background.
