Autumn colours

I won't apologise for just blipping the autumn colours.  The leaves are falling now but there are still plenty of trees with vivid hues. After a quick trip to the village market for spinach, I spent the morning making soup with a pumpkin like squash I hadn't tried before.  It was full of flavour.  I also lopped the eucalyptus tree which threatens to get out of control each year. I have, as well, been catching up with my favourite french television programme, 'Un village français'.  The series has been running for seven years depicting wartime life in a village in the Jura, one set of episodes for each year of the war and just beyond.  The final series starts tonight.
