Today's the day .................... to marvel

It's a fact that that those who live in beautiful parts of the country, where others choose to go on holiday - can sometimes forget that they need go no further than their own doorstep to find a stunning view.

It's a while since I've looked at this one across Windermere to the Lakeland Fells - and it made me gasp in wonderment afresh.  That familiar silhouette of the peaks, backlit by the setting sun and topped with a few pinkish clouds, sent a shiver up the spine.

Must remember to do this more often ......................
