Beauty can be found everywhere

This little footbridge is situated in the Port Dundas basin which is part of the Forth and Clyde canal. In days gone by it would have been opened using the mechanical winder to allow canal boats to get through.

I had a look online and it seems that the basin was used to allow coal boats to come in and feed the Pinkston Power Station which was used to help drive Glasgow's tram network.

Today the little bridge still works proudly, providing a great shortcut for those walking from Port Dundas into Glasgow city centre.
