Gin Scotland

Back to the Scottish Government again today, this time for a meeting mainly about progress on Better Hearings. Lots achieved but lots more we’d like to do. Then return to the office to catch up on papers; visit my aunt in hospitals do off to a former Scottish Governemnt colleague who now runs a scottish product and produce shop on the Royal Mile.

I’d been invited to a gin tasting evening. The variety of tastes and mixture of botanicals is always a surprise. Just as are the range and number of local distilleries. The expansion has been rapid and I hope can be sustained. The map shows not just gin but other produce locations.

All very enjoyable including venison salami and black bun.
