Honest

Most of the day was taken up with a walk from Peebles to Innerleithen alongside the River Tweed and a railway track which has long since lost its original use.  I walked with a group of retired gentlemen and we had recollections we could all smile at and decided the future of the world.
Because of the interest of two of our group, much of our conversation concerns architecture.  As we passed this alley, one of them described it as his favourite building in Innerleithen.  He described it as a very honest building which has avoided any attempt at modernisation.  I think I see what he means.
