Flower Friday for Freedom

This is a special Flower Friday to me. We are celebrating 28 years since the beginning of the Velvet Revolution. It was an amazing time of change, newly gained freedom, enthusiasm and birth of democracy.

Nowadays there is no more enthusiasm and not a negligent percentage of our society lives in fear being fed by populists. Our leaders are people who we, the carriers of Havel’s immortal ideas and values, are ashamed for.

It’s a sad and hard period but we must not give up hope. Truth and love must prevail...
