Far, Far Away......

So far so good. Prop making gets easier, but more ambitious as each year goes by. Art Technician, R, & myself (DT Technician) get along nicely when attempting these projects. Our ideas bounce off each other and (nearly*) always "click" with her very artistic, painting/craft skills and my shape cutting/combi-drilling. The set is pretty much done now. There will no doubt be some last minute "can you quickly make one of these....?" moments. We'll see.

*we had a bit of a giggle the other day when we I had the job cutting out all the clouds and daisies. Some small (far away) and the rest bigger (not-so-far-away). You guessed it: Father Ted. The camping scene where Father Ted tries to explain to Dougal why cows look smaller in the distance.... because they are far away.....! To my astonishment R has never seen it, but she got the drift of it by mildly taking the p!ss with each daisy we were putting on to the back drop. "Near or far away Simon?"
