Autumn in the woodlands
Taking the dogs to Newton Woods this morning, the trees were a riot of colour and just for a brief moment now and then the sun shone through them and the colours were so vivid and bright they were amazing.
Mind you the sun was short lived and an hour later it was really cold.
Had a housefull this afternoon with grandchildren running riot, I love them but collapse when they go. We had a piano "recital" from Grace 6 (her latest piece she is learning) and ballet dancing from Autumn nearly 4, who loves ballet and classical music, on a night she goes to sleep listening to Debussy and Pachelbel's Canon in d. This is a child who never slept if she could help it, I've seen her asleep stood up when it got too much for her and she wasn't going to give in, now she's off to bed, her favourite music gently playing and she's away. Her face lights up when her daddy plays the music on his phone for her.
