Finished ‘War and Peace’. Finally.

It is very, very long. Parts of it are funny, parts read like a Jane Austin novel, parts are sad and some of it is really quite profound.

I’m glad I persevered. Not in a rush to start it again though. I have a feeling I missed a lot of subtlety in there but on the whole I enjoyed it. Although if somebody asked me ‘so what’s it about?’ I’d struggle to give a short answer.
