Seen on today's walk
Today's 13.4 mile walk from Banks to Cumrew went through Quarry Wood and through part of the Gelt Wood. The Gelt River may be named because it is magical. It certainly appeared so today as the sunbeams danced across the shining waters.
It was a brilliant walk on a brilliant day. We organisers are so excited about the good weather that we may not sleep well tonight!
I have lots of lovely photos from today but this made me laugh. I'm assuming it is a private notice from someone whose spelling is dodgy and who thinks that dogs can read and control their bodily functions. Most notices I have seen suggest that the owner cleans up after the dog.
The forecast for the week is pretty good, all until Thursday when I'm responsible for the Geology walk and it may rain all day. We'll see.
