Ready to bite the dust, Hydro Grand

A grand icon of Timaru history downed today. 105 years old and now making way for a new hotel. Much controversy over the past years as people wanted it restored but in my opinion the right decision was made. It will be sad though having it gone from our skyline view from down on the bay. A great contingent of blippers and fellow photographers were amongst the crowd, you will recognise two of them amongst my extras.
It was an amazing thing to witness the incredible talent of the men and their machines, such precision!!!!
The city was out in force to watch the event and what a cheer went up when he finally took down the dome.
