Solace Day 2.

Kingfishers!  They seemed to be everywhere!   I have shots of at least three different individuals and they were all very accommodating, staying on their perches until we got quite close.

I liked this shot of a male the best, it seemed to sum up the day very well.   We saw them with fish in their beaks and hovering over the canal, even diving.  A day to savour and remember.

The autumn colours and the beauty of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal were also memorable, but I think the Kingfishers win.
