Spring?

Narcissi in front of the house which may or may not flower before Christmas. The seedling resembling a TIE-Interceptor from the StarWars series of movies is in fact a self-sown blue Morning Glory, which most likely will not Winter well. The distinctive shape of these first two leaves tells me that this is blue, and not pink or mauve, which differ from this but I cannot distinguish between those two.

Our telephone line has now completely failed and our internet connection amounts to a few seconds each minute. We require something like 1.5km of 20pair cable to restore services. Greek Telecom tells us they are waiting for the cable. Past experience tells me that this will most likely be fixed about Easter time. The cable, when it is eventually replaced, will once again be strung between poles along the ridge of the island (only for 0.5km towards us) and will suffer whiplash every time there is a strong wind. Several years ago the road was dug up to lay a water main nobody wants. If only Telecom would consider burying our cable!
