Frothy Coffee

Who is old enough to remember those Italian coffee bars we used to have years ago, long before the days of Costa, Starbucks etc.?  I seem to remember they had formica-topped tables, diner style seats and served scalding hot frothy coffee in white opaque Pyrex cups, they also used to sell Horlicks in proper white Horlicks branded mugs.
This came to mind because my dear husband always makes me a special cup of ‘frothy coffee’ every morning.  He has his black and strong, but always goes to the trouble of heating milk for mine and then using our mini-whisk to create a cloud of foam on the top.  It’s always delicious, and I love the fact that he takes such care over making it just how I like it.
