Bittersweet

I never get tired of these berries in autumn.  I love the way their outer shell peels back and makes the inner berries so much more noticeable.  They're on several shelves in the house accenting the other special things.  Soon it will be evergreens and red berries.  First year in 5 that I am excited about the holidays, a time of year that was always so much fun, but it is bittersweet.
