Quality not quantity!

Sunday 19th November 2017 (1912)

Last time the walking group had insisted we had another walk this year but as the date approached they dropped out for various reasons leaving only four of us. It was a busy morning of services and I had a lot to do for this next week so part of me didn't want to go. However, it was a lovely bright day and we stuck with our plan.

I hadn't had time to create a new walk so we did one we'd done before only we walked it in the opposite direction. Setting off at 2pm we knew the light would eventually start to fade on us. The first part of the walk was extremely muddy but we managed. It was actually a lot warmer than we expected and we really enjoyed the five miles from Lathom chapel and around Burscough priory. We got back to the car in the last of the light. Our reward was a lovely meal at The Ship.  

The extra is a really helpful sign we found on the way!
