A surprise in the tractor

Jerry brought his tractor from his hunting camp back to our home before we left to go to Colorado so our neighbor who watched our house could keep his eye on it.    He had not used the tractor at the camp since early July when he put in some bean seeds for late summer food for the deer (which the turkeys usually eat as soon as they start sprouting!).   Today he was outside doing some general maintenance and cleanup.  He lifted up the bucket/loader thing to clean off the leaves and dust.  He noticed some straw sticking out of the corner of the machine so he reached in to pull it out and there was this nest!!    With the eggs.    We don't think the eggs are current as they feel very hollow so we think they must have been up in there since the summer.    I hope.     Maybe the momma bird could not get back to them when he lowered that bucket..sometimes he left it up in the air.    We think they are some kind of wren or sparrow eggs.       

So I was happy to add them to my collection of natural things.  I may have to make some still life photos with all the things I have collected in the past couple of months.  More photo opportunities.
