I have

been looking forward to blipping this beautiful Bluebird deluxe (model 18b - with tabulator) which I am looking after for my Canada-based cousin W. 

I couldn't go back to manual typing: the qwerty keyboard was inefficient for a good reason but I have got faster after years with a computer and tend to jam the keys. 

But it is a lovely thing and of course will work in a powercut. Just not so good for creating code.
