Turkcup Ballet (after Olive Cotton)
Bit of a chutzpah really, to claim any sort of comparison with Australian photographer Olive Cotton, but I was taken with the coffee dregs & the shadows, in a similar way to her noticing the teacups and shadows in her studio one day, resulting in her very famous "Teacup Ballet".
It's also a little memento of a great evening out with my Mr DG, first a fab Turkish meal, followed by a fab Chilean concert. Inti Illimani in Sydney, no less!
This is not exactly what I wanted to blip today. There's a little bit in one corner that I cropped out, but Blipfoto wouldn't accept it (said my photo was too small), so I had to put it back! I'm also pretty fed up with my little point 'n' shoot, but will have to stick with it a while longer, until I can afford a good DSLR. Meanwhile, blipping is keeping me interested and motivated, and giving me lots of practice. Thanks doli for introducing me to blipfoto!
