Not Christmas Yet
I guess everyone knows the potted version of the poinsettia which is often sold at Christmas time; here in south-east Queensland, they are often grown as garden plants. The beautiful red bracts are leaves, not flowers; the flowers are those tiny rather insignificant clusters in the centre of the red.
This plant grows in the garden of the house I live in, in Maleny and is looking particularly velvety at the moment, earning itself a blip.
