This is my friend Yan. I've known her since last fall when I started at uni. Yan is just amazing, she is the nicest and friendliest person I know. She moved here six years ago from China and studied to be a nurse. Now, after some time working as a nurse, she is studying to be a doctor. She works harder than anyone at school, because the finnish language is still a challenge for her, but even if it's hard, she is always smiling and laughing and doesn't get discouraged. I admire her positive attitude so much!
We went swimming today in a public swimming pool and it was a new and somewhat strange experience for me. It's an old place, so there are no separate locker rooms. The lockers are around the pool instead. Also, there's only one shower room. So, obviously, men and women don't swim there at the same time. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays it's the women's turn and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the men's. Beacause of this separation, swimming whitout a swimming suit is allowed - and that's what most people do. It was okay, though, it felt natural to swim in the nude :)
