Green Shadows

Today was one of those late autumn days where the weather outside goes from dreary rain to wind to sun and back. I stayed home grading papers for much of the morning, then ran some errands. About an hour from sundown (say, 3:30?) I walked the long way about over to my office to drop off some exams and consult with a couple text books. Since the day had turned fine I took my camera and snapped this picture of my deserted campus. There was no one about to see these splendid green shadows except myself.
