Chapel

I was visiting the hospital again today and decided to take a photo of the chapel that i came across when I was there the over day. It looks rather out of place surrounded by hospital buildings so I decided to google it to see what I could find out. The hospital was built in 1844 and the chapel, which is a grade II listed building, was built in 1857. Access to the chapel was via the first floor of the hospital. It apparently fell out of use in 1992 and discussions were held with staff and the local community in 2007 to discuss a new role for the chapel. I don't know what the outcome of those were ... it's looking in need of some TLC. The extras show some other views of the chapel.
