Southern Crowned Hornbill
The bird life in Tanzania is quite fantastic. I enjoyed spotting and being educated about the numerous colourful birds we came across. At our final camp in the Selous, we had two game drives by boat along the Rufiji river. One early morning and one the next evening, the birds were at their best. This Hornbill was strutting his stuff at Ruaha, our second camp. Around the village and near the airstrip the sky was full of these striking birds sailing on the thermals.
