Rosie is a cultural icon of World War II America, helping to recruit women to work
In the munitions factories and representing all the women who worked in factories and shipyards throughout the war. I must admit I'd never heard of her until I found her on American Way here at National Harbor. With thanks to good old Google for telling me her story.
