Visit to the National Gallery to see the Van Eyck and the Pre Raphaelites .
The Pre Raphaelites were much influenced by Van Eyck's picture  ( do see above link video ) .-  A picture that found its way to England  and was  eventually put on public display in the National Gallery for free in the 1840s .  It greatly influenced artists like Rossetti , Hunt and Millais who were students in the Royal Academy - then next door .
A lovely exhibition that was not too big and overwhelming.
