Pups Do DC

Eldest daughter (left) and her fiancée are with us this week and today, on an exceptionally beautiful day, we headed downtown to introduce the main monuments to their pups ;)

The dogs were quite the attraction with many people approaching them (some tentatively, some enthusiastically) to find out more about them. They are Italian mastiffs and while imposing, they are exquisitely well trained -- though my daughter's, at less than one-year old, still has all the inquisitiveness of a puppy. Her older 'sister' just sighs and bears, with the occasional sidelong glance that seems to say "will you just stay still for a moment!"

Right now, we're all kicking back with some tired pups!
