Storm bird

The weather kept me inside today, but I got some great shots before the rain began in earnest.  The gulls were very active today.

Otherwise I spent my time preparing vegetables for the dish I bring to Thanksgiving dinner at Endless Weekend's house each year.  It's a variation on tsimmes, a traditional Jewish recipe, and includes sweet potatoes, carrots and butternut squash, along with prunes, herbs and spices, and orange juice.  A lot of prep work, but worth it.

I hope that this year we will all have something to be thankful for, and I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
