Topiary pheasant

Rubbish shot in near darkness! Saying at Fountains Abbey again for a 4 day visit to see Mum in nearby Ripon. We have the added bonus of walking in the abbey grounds 'out of hours'. It is such a treat. The hundreds of noisy pheasants who escaped the shoot that was going on today by taking refuge in the grounds were all off to very wobbly beds up in the trees. This one sneaked into a yew tree nearby avoiding the strong winds - very sensible!
The cottage is very cosy and it's such a treat to be with Big Sis for almost a week.
