Slow Blip Day

So one from my collection of old wedding photographs.  There are actually two dates on the back of the photograph - September 1933 and September 1938 so not sure which one is correct although my thoughts are that it is probably 1933.  

I find the two older ladies on the left and right hand sides interesting as they seem to be wearing matching dresses and hats and carrying flowers but they look too old to be bridesmaids.  My first thought was that they may be the bride and groom's mothers but not sure why they would be dressed the same or carrying flowers.
