The morning after the day before.

When we left Ambleside yesterday about 11am much of the lake shore could still be seen. Driving back mid afternoon the lake had risen a lot and water was across the road. It was still raining when I went to bed. 

This morning some of the car park was underwater as were the ends of the jetties. I don't think any of my photos captured the true level of the water, possibly because I stayed well away from the edge. 

In extras a rainbow that I spotted while taking a back road to avoid huge roadside puddles. One lucky person may have found a pot of gold in their fireplace :)
