A long walk - ill - Scottish Power???

The title sums up our day.............................. I've been on a long walk today OK an hour & a half because for the last couple of days Ann's been working so I've just had 'on my lead' walks and she always feels guilty if she doesn't take me for an off my lead walk.



Ann is still ill. She has a cold! The slightest little thing exhausts her, so she's having to lie down a lot??!!



…..................As for Scottish Power.................. Their incompetence could win them an Oscar! We ranted about them on Monday. Yesterday we got an email from them telling us which was our day reading and which was our night reading. Only waited 18th months for this. As expected the 'stupid people' at Scottish Power have been putting the wrong figures in the wrong boxes. The email said that they'd recorded our readings, we had a debit of £137+ It was only £60+ on the last email and 'as requested' they'd start our monthly direct debit of £155.02 in January 2018??? 'As requested??? Where did the figure of £155.02 come from? The last figure we had for a direct debit was £115.02? Oh and they didn't even bother to answer any of the other questions; such as, 'Are we on the correct tariff and do we need a new meter?'



Mmmmmmmm...................... so we've got a debit of £137+, we haven't paid anything in November, aren't going to pay anything in December and then are going to pay £155.02 in January??? It's winter, it's cold. We are using a lot of electricity. So Ann sent another email asking if we could pay off our debit and then start our direct debit payments at the beginning of December.



All we've had back to date is an 'automated email' saying that our direct debit has been changed and a new payment of £115.02 per month will be taken from our account on 2nd January 2018. So now our 'direct debit' payment is back to what we were originally told ages ago. But why did it not start on 2nd Nov???



….......................And do you know what the worst thing is?......................... After receiving the email yesterday telling us what we already knew confirming which were the day and which were the night readings......................... have just checked our online account and 'Scottish Power' have yet again, put the wrong readings in the wrong boxes??!!!



HELP??? Surely 'Scottish Power' can't be the only electricity supplier in Scotland (we don't have gas). If any of you very lovely Scottish Blippers are with any other electricity suppliers, please let us know who they are. Thank you. xxx
