The cherry trees in the churchyard are almost leafless, just a few hanging in there. Whatever their state, they are an important feature in the churchyard. I have been waiting for the leaves to colour, and have almost missed their best. We have had high winds over the last twenty four hours and they have obviously scattered the poppy wreaths from around the memorial. The shadow in the foreground is from the lych gate.
