Life through my eyes

Random Bristol collage

I had to go into Bristol today for my health assessment, mammogram and MRI scan.

Mr T decided he fancied a day out (sitting around waiting for me) so we had to get the 09:11 bus so he could use his pass.  That left just enough time to get from the bus station to Clifton.  The bus was late and I had not eaten since 20:30 so was feeling peckish and seeing a lady quite literally stuffing her face with a bacon sandwich didn't help!  In an effort to make it on time we caught a different bus to the Mall and then from there one into Bristol, which came in to Clifton first so at least stopped almost opposite the Nuffiled centre.  When I had called them to say I was running late they said after 20 minutes late I would be considered as a "no show"!  I got there at 10:49!

Anyway, all tests came back fine, cholesterol a bit down from 2 years ago, lung function the same, blood results the same or better, just told to eat more pulses (I'll pass on that)!

A quick bite to eat and then off to The Chesterfiled Hospital for my scans.  They did the MRI first and that took about 25 minutes.  I kept feeling like I had pins and needles and my leg was twitching but apparently I stayed really still.  Then the mammogram, and the same lady who did it two years ago.  Glad when that was over!

Then the bus (and thankfully just one) home.  Feeling very weary tonight!

My Blip is a collage of random things from today - cars with Christmas decorations, The Fosseway and very tame squirrels - including one that came right up to Mr T's foot, Shaun the Sheep at the Bristol Children's Hospital and the Will Memorial Building.
