Selling Out
I talk to more and more pro photographers concerned about the low price expectations of clients. Demanding high quality and bargain basement prices just doesn't work in this business. Those photographers who try to meet the demand end up burning out and going off to sell Amway or real estate because they have to work 24/7 to make enough to pay the bills.
Unfortunately, some of those photographers actually do very good work, so it makes it doubly difficult to maintain pricing in the face of equal (or better even) quality elsewhere for less.
Damn Wal-Mart. Damn me, too, because I shop there.
