Went to the weir on the Wharfe this morning to see if the water levels had dropped back to normal. It has. I saw half a dozen ducks dreamily drifting downstream, when they woke up to the fact that they were heading for a fall down the weir. They started frantically paddling back upstream, before resorting to flight. What a shot that would have been, if only I'd had the camera ready! So I headed downstream of the weir, where there were more ducks and nabbed this shot instead.
