Shutterfly Book

When I travel I like to make a book of my photographs when I get home. I finished the New York and Paris book this morning and now Shutterfly is working on it. Soon I'll add it to the collection of trip books from all of our exotic and interesting trips. This is a screen shot of the front and back covers of the book. 

Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends on Blip. And to everybody else too. I like this holiday because it is about being thankful and that is a healthy and good state to be in. I am very thankful for my family and friends, especially for the support and help I was given during the last difficult four years. THANK YOU for all the kind words, for sticking with me even when I rarely had time to make comments or even visit, for commenting and leaving stars and hearts. I am very thankful for Blipfoto. It's made a positive difference in my life.

And no, I'm not saying "goodbye". I am just expressing my thanks because that is what this day is about.

Now for a grumble. It is so offensive to me that this season has been coopted by the retail industry to become a huge time of shopping and greedy grabbing of stuff after waiting in long lines. I wonder why we can't have one weekend where all we do is enjoy the company of those we love, enjoy activities that cost nothing but bring us together, and be thankful for the blessings in our lives. All of these things bring health, joy and love. Running around buying stuff does not.

Hope you are having a time of thoughtful reflection on the things in your life that are good and that matter to you. Helena and I went to my friend Helen's for Thanksgiving dinner. Sue was there and Helen's husband Don. And another friend, Christi, came to sit with us and celebrate as well. It was a happy time together.
