Red Sky in the Morning
Grey skies the rest of the day.
Happy my cough woke me up early enough this morning to get this shot, even more so after I read on Twitter shortly afterwards that on this day - October 8th 1965 - The Post Office Tower became operational.
It was opened by Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
At the time the 620 ft structure was the tallest building in London, so nice it can share it's big day today with the newest tallest London tower, the 1,016 ft Shard.
Happy Birthday Post Office Tower!
