Investigating rocks

The boys choice of topic for the fortnight has been 'Rocks'. We have looked at rock formation, the rock cycle, types of rock, and tried to identify which type of rocks we had in a garden.  We had a lot of house brick!  We also grouped rocks into manmade and natural and then different types of rocks. We did do a fair bit more but it was about 2 weeks ago now and I can't remember what else we did off of the top of my head!
