Stormy Happy Thanksgiving...

This was Yesterday...  we had torrential rain, their were flood warnings out here in Ocala, I had lots of extra lights on in a living room that normally has no lights on until dark.  Abby hates the rain so much that no matter how badly she needed to use the outdoors,  she wasn't going out and shook in fear.  I went out with her for a walk, but she was having no part of it.
     But the gray, rainy day did not impact my Thanksgiving.  While out with Abby, I stopped at 2 houses where I know both people that lived there had lost their significant others and were alone.  I invited them to my dinner with my other friends that were coming over.  I ended up having 5 for a dinner party that started around 1 and lasted until 5.  We all had a wonderful, laughing good time.  We all ate well, shared our blessings and gratitudes, shared the warmth of comradery  and friendship.  I was so involved with my company that even though my camera sat on an end table, I never once remembered to pick it up and a picture of all of us.  It was fun, warm, happy, and filling.  I will have to do it again, next year!
