Roses are Red and Violet are blue

Went to the hairdressers this morning back home by 10.  Had a welcome cup of coffee and pottered about until lunchtime.  KG went to the Stroke Support Bowls this afternoon and I finally got to sit at the sewing machine.  
Thanks to Biker Bear (Anni) for continuing to host  flower Friday - had a quick look around the garden not much there.  
The African violets were looking good so decided that they must be the blip.  The old rhyme  Roses are Red came to mind to found this artificial rose which is actually sort of woody.
Another beautiful day weather wise but cold - the frost warning light came on when I started the car 4 degrees brr
