Poinsettia

The poinsettia is a commercially important plant species of the diverse spurge family. The species is indigenous to Mexico, and like many plants from the Americas, it does extremely well in Adelaide.

It is particularly well known for its red foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays. A perfect time to be in bloom for the Aussie Xmas.
