Let me in!

Poor hen! It is a foul (fowl?!) day, sleet, snow and hail, and she would love to come into the sun porch.  Instead I have given her lots of cosy shredded paper to snuggle up in in her own little house.

I originally called her Blossom, her temporary owner called her Bonny, now that she is back here, she is back to being Blossom, or more correctly, Blossom Dearie!  She has had a traumatic time, being bullied by various hens, and is now terrified of any bird bigger than a blackbird!  Now she is living in the back garden, Ollie and she get on fine together and she gets lots of titbits and attention from us during the day, and we can keep an eye on her and keep her safe.

When we moved in here, eight years ago, we did a lot of work but didn't touch the little upstairs room.  It has the computer, printer, sewing machine, keyboard, airing cupboard, bags of wool and material, boxes and boxes of sheet music and the ironing basket in it - or did have until today!

Now we have everything bagged up and moved out, the artex is coming off the walls, the built in cupboards and desk are being ripped out and it is being transformed into a purpose made craft/music room. I might not see Mike for days/weeks/months!  I shall be in the kitchen, providing sustenance in the form of hearty meals and cakes, but ready to lend a hand when extra muscles or advice is required!!
