We were woken up at 6 o’clock this morning by the sound of a tractor going up our road spreading grit. We had had quite a covering of snow overnight which is now thawing rapidly in the bright sunshine. I don’t think there will be much golf played at Hollins Hall today looking at the course out of our bedroom window.
