It's been a grand day.

Busy day Mrs Porty away to a job interview first thing, and then a mad trip round several shops.The best thing however is I managed to book a trip for my eldest and me to Munich for the Octoberfest to celebrate his 18th birthday.
Now as the sun sinks under the horizon I raise a glass of fizzy to you all, Mrs Porty and I are of to Ulverston for 2 days to sample the award winning cuisine, toodaloo.
