In Galilleo's workshop
I wish! This is a reproduction of Galilleo Galillei's workshop/laboratory in Florence. This, for me, was the highlight of my wanderings around the Deutsche Museum today.
The slanted plank-type apparatus in the foreground is where Galileo rolled metal balls down the gradient to investigate the relationship between the speed of an object and distance covered.
I was so thrilled to see this lab; Galileo is one of my science heroes.
It has been very wet today - a good excuse to buy an umbrella in the museum shop!
