Traquair

Singing in the chapel at Traquair. The chapel was made after the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829. It is always seriously cold at this time of year. The family- the Maxwell Stuart’s- had their own spot at the back of the chapel enclosed by curtains, and with a fireplace. And, of course, their own little door straight into the “big house”.
