Sweet Pea
B and I woke to a beautiful morning in Durham. After breakfast we walked along the River Wear to Maiden Castle. Little did we know that the entire site was over grown with trees - still it was a lovely walk.
After lunch at the medieval market we went to Crook Hall and Gardens. The Hall comprises three eras of architecture - mediaeval, Jacobean and Georgian. The Gardens were just beautiful in the glorious afternoon sunshine, although some of the flowers were starting to die away.
A quick coffee and a piece of cake before the train home
