Carlisle infirmary

Deb was booked in as a day patient for her op today, we were over at Carlisle hospital by just after 10.30. I hung around most of the day, talked to the surgeon immediately after surgery, and waited for her to come round.

Early evening, Deb tried getting out of bed, but the pain was extreme. They decided that it was best to keep her in overnight to manage pain. By the time she was allocated a bed it was 10.30pm, I drove home and ate my evening meal at 11.45!

A long day, but so good to know the ops done, she's on the mend and (hopefully) will be home tomorrow.
